Christensen’s Motorcycles
Last weekend, April 22 & 23 Round 2 of the Yamaha
Australian Off Road Series was run at the Albury Wodonga Motocross Circuit.
A strong field of Australia’s top off road riders was
entered to compete on a course of about six and a half minute’s duration.
The course consisted of part hard packed motocross track and part tight
bush with mostly loamy conditions and bull dust corners.
Eleven heats were run over two days with very cool
mornings transforming into sometimes sunny but mostly overcast weather
conditions, a far cry from the rain, mud and slop of 2005.
Christensens Yamaha rider Blake Hore had his best result
so far in a National event taking 3rd place in the premier Pro
E2 Class on his Yamaha YZ450F behind fellow Yamaha rider, 2005 Series
winner
AJ Roberts and Josh Strang.
In the Outright results Blake was placed 4th.
Blake was surprised with his results as he felt tight in
the first few heats but he was pleased to be able to post consistent results
all weekend and consequently maintain his strong position both in his class
and outright.
The next event that Blake will compete in is Round 4 of
the Yamaha Victorian Off Road Championships, an enduro at Big River.
Both Phil Wade and Travis Cooper also put in a excellent
effort with a 2nd and 3rd in their class.
All Team members continue to strive to improve their
points within the series.
