SAM LAWS MOTORCYCLES
Over
the June long weekend Condobolin brothers Jacob & Todd Smith won the two
premier class championships at the NSW motocross championships final round in
Nowra NSW.
Todd riding a Yamaha YZ 450F
clinched the NSW Pro-Open championship, after the second race of the day,
putting in a great ride after returning from the Australian Championships in
Tasmania late on Sunday night. Exhausted after the days racing in Tassie, Todd
stepped up to the plate for the challenge ahead and rode with determination all
day to win the series. The victory was sweet for Todd as he also won the 2004
series, so getting back-to-back championships was a goal that has now been
achieved
Todd’s
younger brother, Jacob had an extremely successful weekend as well, on Sunday
he won the Yamaha National Cup class at the Australian Motocross Championships
in Tasmania, following the days racing the pair flew back to Sydney for the
last round of the NSW State Championships on the Monday morning.
Jacob rode without incident all
day to win the state championship. This is a fantastic achievement for Jacob as
the 2005 season is his first as a senior rider.
Todd & Jacob are currently
preparing for the last couple of rounds of the Australian Motocross titles,
following that the boys will be getting ready to compete in the Australian
Supercross Championships.
