KEARNEY WINS, PARKER THIRD

Ballard’s Motorex Yamaha team riders Glenn Kearney and Alison Parker have performed
exceptionally well in round 8 of the Yamaha Victorian Off Road Championships at
Tooboorak, Victoria on the weekend.

Kearney won the three hour cross-country by over three minutes to KTM’s Jehi Willis
and Matt Fish. Kearney, aboard his YZ250, had an early battle with fellow New South
Welshmen Brad Williscroft (KTM 450) before mechanical problems forced Williscroft
out of the race, allowing Kearney to dominate the Championship class.

Alison Parker (WR250F) put in a solid performance, taking her first podium against
the men in her enduro career, finishing third in the Clubman under 200 2-stroke /
under 250 4-stroke class. This result follows Alison’s impressive performance at
the final round of the Maxxis Australian Motocross Championships, being the best
of the Australian women placing third behind New Zealand’s Katherine Prumm (KX250F)
and Mary Perkins (YZ250F).

The next event for the Ballard’s Motorex Yamaha Team is round 5 of the NSW Enduro
Series at Nowra on 29th August.
